Occupational safety starts at design
Built on design, managed by safety. Practical CDM 2024 guidance, training, templates, and advisory support for Malaysian construction projects.
About OSHCDM
Construction projects involve clients, designers, contractors, specific timelines, and decisions that carry serious safety consequences. Many risks are created or removed before anyone steps onto site, during design and planning.
OSHCDM was created to make the Occupational Safety and Health (Construction Work) (Design and Management) Regulations easier to understand and easier to apply. The site explains duties in plain language, links legal responsibilities to project decisions, and gives teams a practical reference for coordination, design review, and risk management.
Services
From early project briefing through construction phase coordination, OSHCDM helps teams understand duties, prepare documentation, and manage design-related risks.
Awareness programmes for clients, PCWD/CWD, and PCWC/CWC teams, designed around CDM 2024 duties and practical project scenarios.
Advisory support for PCWD duties, design risk assessment, coordination workshops, scaffold matters, and practical compliance review.
Structured documentation for PCI, CPP, SHF, duty holder checks, scaffold inspection, work at height, and crane inspection.
CDM 2024
The CDM approach is most effective when clients, designers, and contractors work from a shared understanding of the project life cycle.
How We Help
Identify the project role, duty holder responsibilities, appointments, and compliance expectations.
Connect design choices, site conditions, programme constraints, and construction methods to OSH risk.
Structure PCI, CPP, SHF, inspection records, and checklist evidence so they are usable by project teams.
Support communication between client, PCWD, CWD, PCWC, CWC, and safety professionals.
Templates
A professional CDM process needs more than generic forms. OSHCDM templates help teams capture decisions, responsibilities, hazards, controls, and handover information in a consistent way.
